The Issue
Here is yet another example of what Edwards Environmental Corp's products can do for you! Many homeowners believe their septic system concerns lie in the holding tank. As a result, they repeatedly have their tank pumped. After several pumpings, they become frustrated and call a plumber, only to find out their leach field is plugged due to insufficient, or no maintenance. All septic systems have a drainage field or leach field to which the household waste flows, and is then absorbed into the field. Over the years the system will build up sludge, which is undigested food. The poorly maintained system will begin to clog up and fail. Septic systems are designed to use bacteria to digest the waste, and are efficient provided that the bacteria are not killed by the use of an excessive amount of laundry products, bleach or other toxic chemicals. The homeowner starts to suspect his system is in trouble when foul-smelling odors arise, or foul-smelling water appears in the yard.
The Solution
The Bio-Digester will enhance, or speed up, the digestion of the existing bacteria to quickly digest the sludge build-up in the leach field, thus reducing or eliminating the grease and odors.

After being in the septic and grease removal business for several years, we are always on the look out for time saving, more efficient ways to get our job done. In looking around we came across Edwards Environmental about 7 years ago. They have a product called Bio Digester. So after some trial runs and testing we found out, it works as claimed.

Example:

A neglected 1000 gallon grease trap. It had grease up to the top and hard enough to walk on. These are the units we needed help with. We got tired of hand chopping. As we came to this unit we pulled up and sized it up. It was bad. We then got a bottle of Bio Digester and dropped in two ounces.

Then went to our truck to set it in position, get hoses set up and things ready to go. We get back to the manhole and we observed; much to our surprise the Bio Digester had already started to work. You could see how it was spreading out over the top.

At that point we dropped in another two ounces and then decided to go away for a few days. While there however, we did clean a clog so the system would work. We waited for about three weeks and checked the trap again. At that point, it was not perfect but we were able to pump with minimal chopping and no way could you walk on the top.

We are now using in every grease trap possible. If used as directed, no more chopping, and the customer has less clogging to the city main. If they put the Bio Digester in the interior drains, those drain seem cause less problems than before.

And our clients that use in their septic systems. Their problems just go away. Unless someone flushes a hot wheels down the drain. This I saw in a client’s septic. He calls wants us to pump. Open up his unit, just about 1/8 inch of a slight sludge and all the rest water. And he had been using Bio Digester for about 4 years. Product far exceeds our expectations!

The Village of Dodge has been working with George Edwards since 1997. I met George in a class that he was teaching about Bio-Stimulation and thought to myself, "What if this works?".

At that time, Dodge had a Dairy that produced cheese and a packing house on our wastewater system. The CBOD and SS levels were too much to handle for our activated sludge plant. We were adding polymer and hauling a lot of sludge, sometimes it seemed that was all that we were doing.

So, we decided to give Edwards Environmental Corporation a try. It worked better than I would have ever imagined. We were able to stop using polymer, at a savings of $2,200/3-weeks, and we didn't have to haul near as much sludge. As a matter of fact , our sludge level dropped 50% so the savings in time and money were astronomical.

During this time, we were dealing with the State of Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality, "NDEQ", because we were having problems meeting our permit requirements. Our loading was too high for what we were designed for and NDEQ was in the process of making us add on to our Treatment Facility. We met with our engineer and NDEQ representatives and convinced them to allow us to keep operating under our current conditions with the product "BYO-GON" being added. Because of Edwards Environmental Corporation and his product, we didn't have to add on to our Wastewater Plant. That alone was close to a million-dollar savings.

The product might have evolved over the years to BIO-DIGESTER, but the quality has remained the same. Also, the one thing that you can count on is, if George Edwards says something will work, it will work! He backs everything he says. He is very knowledgeable.

Over time, George has evolved from a salesman to a good friend. That is how much he cares about what he does and who he is taking care of.

In closing, if George says something will work, it will work and he will back what he says. Like I told my board back in 1997, we should take a chance on George and that turned out to be one of the best decisions that Dodge has ever made!
